PROVEN AUSTRALIAN WHITE BREEDERS
The Glenowra Australian White Sheep Stud specialises in the Australian White lamb breed, which is in high demand around the world. With strict line breeding principles and improved genetics, our stud's goal is to produce the world's finest quality lamb.
Proven Australian White breeders located in the heart of the Central West. The operations cover 30,000 acres, spanning over eight properties, spread throughout the most sort after areas in the Lachlan Valley River region.
THE STRONG BEGINNING
In February 2015 Westfarm Pastoral and Co made the decision to purchase the Glenowra and Keith Park properties in the Lachlan Valley Region. The purchase also included the Glenowra Australian White Sheep Stud.
BREED & GENETICS
As a strong player in the prime lamb industry, the Glenowra Australian White Sheep Stud has a stringent breeding program that focusses on quality and refinement of line principles to constantly improve the superiority of the lamb.
With a weight gain of approximately 49kg in 16 weeks, the Australian White Sheep has an exceptional growth rate in comparison to any other breed. Lambing every 8 months, the goal is to develop elite ewes which breed triplets and twins with ease and have a 140 – 160% minimum lambing rate.
